The Smart Housing development comprises a two-building complex on a 1,595 sq.m site, located in the southern district of  Kalamaki  in Athens, Greece. Despite the urban development in the greater area, sea views from the buildings are spectacular and totally unobstructed due to this ideal location, truly key to such a construction, not only because of views but also because of the close proximity to means of public transportation.

Aside from this great location, other reasons that make this construction so unique are the top roof top photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, gas supply, pioneering high-tech and high quality aluminum frames, thermal insulation treated façades, intelligent energy saving technologies without shared costs, security systems and innovative electromechanical installations.
Smart Housing Development
The architectural synthesis is based on horizontal volumes and planes floating on the main body of the structure, forming balconies and outdoor seating areas with views of the sea by use of glass parapets. The green rooftops and the outdoor communal gardens on the ground floor featuring split-level ponds, gives another sense to an ordinary apartment building. Furthermore, trees and bushes are planted in specific areas, surrounding the main entrance and garden.

Floor layout plans
The first building consists of 6 floors, each of two units; a large three bedroom apartment of 141 sq.m, and a two bedroom apartment with an area of 111 sq.m. Furthermore, in each two floors the interior layout varies in style and size. The second building consists of 6 floors, each featuring a floor-through apartment. Both buildings stand on top of two foundation basements including shared storage facilities and parking areas.
